Dr. Dennis Winter, DDS
Dr. Dennis Winter is committed to providing excellence in dentistry, and stands out as a leading dentist in Des Moines. He believes strongly in education to prevent oral health problems before they occur, and continually attends educational courses to learn about the latest technology and ways to make his patients dental visits as comfortable as possible.
Dr. Dennis Winter is a native of Iowa, growing up in a small town northeast of Sumner. He received his undergrad from Iowa State University in 1979, and then attended the University of Iowa school of dentistry where he was president of his class. After graduation. Dr. Winter served his country as a dentist in the U.S. Air Force. He opened his first practice in Denver and spent many years there before opening Iowa Dental Arts in Beaverdale and West Des Moines.
While studying the science of occlusion and conditions such as grinding, clenching, and TMJ in Florida, he met his wife, Dr. Carnovale, whom is also a dentist and was practicing in Rome, Italy at the time.
Dr. Winter and his wife have two children, enjoy traveling around the world, and they both still practice at their office in Rome.
Dr. Carnovale still operates her dental office in Rome, Italy with several English speaking associates. Dr. Carnovale was born and raised in Rome”s Centro Storico (near the Vatican and Pantheon) and enjoys frequent visits to see family and friends.
